had truoble getting it to work on Vista. No idea for Windows 7. No more support as of Oct 2009. Check it out at the product's website

Nag Screen, Changes The Look Of Windows Without Warning, No Good For Windows Vista
Summary
Simple program for a small business like mine or a large retail chain as well. We have been using this program for a few months now and really enjoy it, plug a bar code scanner in and inventory is a snitch. The only problems we have found is the program changes the look of windows without permission, and it`s not compatible with vista. We run an online store, this program works well with inventory and PayPal and accounts. Also this program has a customer self serve witch we find is really good for our fixed store as well. Since getting hold of Shop Assistant we have had an ingress in sales and a lot easier checkouts as well.

This Program Is A Realy Great Program, But When I Tryed To Load It With MS Vista, It Is Very Buggy. Needs More Work For Vista.

Pros <p>Price - ShopAssist is only a fraction of the cost of its nearest rivals. <p>Ease of Use - virtually everything is intuitive. <p>Service - Always immediate and first class. Robust & Forgiving - Power failures, breakdowns, glitches etc. - in four years of usage none of these interuptions have resulted in lost data. <p>Requests for New Features are always implemented without delay and usually at no cost. <p>Comprehensive Reporting Speed - 9,000 Stock items on my system are easily & instantly managed by ShopAssist. <p>Flexibility - ShopAssist can easily be configured to suit different retail environments. <p>Network ready. <p>Conclusion - Try it NOW. Anything else will cost more and deliver less

Nothing is quite perfect - ShopAssist almost is. <p> <p>For security reasons and in common with most Software, ShopAssist has to be registered and then activated. <p>In four years of usage, this has never been a problem - four licenses over the years - on four different machines - have been de-registered and re-registed on new machines. This has never presented a problem other than the nuisance value of exchanging emails etc. It's a small price to pay to ensure the continued development of the programme and security. <p> <p>Service requests are invariably handled by email. These exchanges could be improved with HTML formatting. Questions & their Responses can be difficult to read otherwise.
