Scanner driver installation was ridiculously difficult
Summary
This machine worked quite nicely for me for a year or so until I tried to install it on a new computer. The printer driver installed without difficulty; however, the scanner driver was another story. It ended up taking me 1.5 days to install the scanner driver. A tip on another website suggested that the driver wouldn't install correctly if there was already another scanner installed. I not only hand to uninstall the other 2 scanners already on the machine; I ended up having to go into the registry and delete all references to them. The scanner is working now but I'm not yet sure if it was worth the trouble. I hope this information might help anyone else having the same problem.
