Excellent product, excellent value

Pros
Excellent feature set. Great integration with Office, including Project. Customer support is very responsive to questions ad suggestions for improvement. The price is excellent.
Cons
A few small bugs they are actively working to fix, nothing stopping me from using the product successfully to manage multiple projects.
Summary
Great alternative to MindManager and MindView for a great price.

My experience with DropMind is pretty good. I use the Desktop and Web version and I love the synchronization. The interface is also nice; when I started using it I felt no need of user documents because all felt familiar.
Wanted to like it, but...it's no MindManager (sigh)

Pros
The price, the cross-platform compatibility, the export capabilities.
Cons
Not as intuitive as MindManager. Looks similar on the surface, but the functions don't work the way you expect. The Mac version does not respect Mac UI guidelines. The documentation seems auto-generated. The installer was last updated 6+ months ago.
Summary
It looks like they tried to reverse-engineer and copy MindManager without really understanding what people are trying to do with it, or trying to watch how people think as they work. As a result, the tool feels clunky and it gets in your way as you try to capture your thoughts. Don't be fooled by the feature list or the pretty-looking interface - it's not a substitute for MM. I am disappointed as I was excited at the prospect of having a viable competitor for that overpriced product - now I'm thinking it's perhaps not so overpriced after all.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Mar 9, 2011<p/>Oops - I intended to review version 3.1, not version 2.2.
