Planner is a GTK+ application written in C and licensed under the GPLv2 or any later version. It can store its data in either xml files or in a postgresql database. Projects can also be printed to PDF or exported to HTML for easy viewing from any web browser.

Easy to use Project Planner

Pros
Easy to learn and use. No adds. Clean installation/removal procedure.
Cons
Contains several task constraints - "start as soon as possible", "start at fixed date", "start no earlier then", but ... no "start no later then" constraint (or did I oversee something?). Puzzling...
Summary
Good basic tool for simple project planning (s.a. writing your thesis). Easy to learn and use (the least thing I wanted was a sophisticated tool which takes a lot of time to learn how to use it).
