SaveHollywood for Mac enables you to use your own videos, including flash, QuickTime and other formats, as a screensaver. It can also be used as a solution to watch QuickTime videos in fullscreen. This non-intrusive app works great and offers some customization options.

The installation process for SaveHollywood for Mac literally takes seconds. Once it's installed, you can access the app via your Desktop and Screensavers in the Mac system preferences. The app embeds itself into the Mac UI and has a lot of great features and settings for you to play with. You can set up which movies to play and there's also the option of creating a playlist, which you can then loop or shuffle. This app also supports audio playback, with the option to mute and adjust the volume. For what this app offers, it is surprisingly small and responsive. It is completely free and requires no additional software or setup.

This used to be a great app... lots of people upset because it's not compatible with 10.6. The developer is waiting for Apple to fix the bugs. If anyone else would like to be able to use this with Snow Leopard, please look at the White Box website and see what you have to do to try and speed Apple along.

Would be willing to pay for this if developed further, e.g., abling-disabling boxes for clips, a couple effects choices - fades, cubes, etc. But for the price at the moment, this is a gem.

This is a ScreenSaver Module for Mac OS X. This screensaver allows you to display QuickTime Movies as a screensaver. Some interesting points that you may not see immediately are: you can now play Flash animation as a screensaver. You can use this screensaver to display Marketing Material and switch back to Mac OS X with the move of a mouse. It can be a solution to watch QuickTime Movies fullscreen.
