Sagelight is good photo editor.
Cons
I had to email for the registration code, it's not automatically generated and sent after payment. I find out after receiving the registration code that it's useless without an internet connection. You must be connected to the internet to register product and unlock the full version. I emailed twice asking for a refund and was ignored.

Great PS alternative in light of Adobe "Cloud Pricing"

Pros
85 percent of PS at one sixth the price! I have been editing photos a long time since the days of Paint Shop Pro by JASC and a long time user of Adobe's PhotoShop. However, in light of Adobe's recent "cloud pricing" announcement I began researching alternatives. I used a trial version of Paint Shop Pro (now a Corel product) but it seemed slow and unstable on my quad-core desktop. I stumbled across SageLight on the Digital Photography Review Website in an article entitled "10 photo editors that are NOT PhotoShop". SageLight was not reviewed, but was mentioned by someone posting a comment about the article. I downloaded SageLight and found it fast, stable, and quite capable, with many automated corrections, cloning, skin correction, masking, graduated filters helps darken or color a dull sky (like Tiffen DFX does), built in HDR effects from a single image. Most PS Plug-Ins are compatible with SageLight
Cons
SageLight Photo Editor is offered as a 30 day trial, then be be purchased for a great price, however it appears to be a "one man show", no automated instant license key sent within minutes of paying as most software offers. I was aware of the slow response as I had checked a SageLight Forum before purchasing. After waiting a day, then e-mailing the developer, I received a license key.
Summary
For the price, I do not believe you will find a more capable photo editor. Some functions are "hidden" in the Plug-In section such as B&W effects and Lens Correction. The developer of SageLight understands photography and has created a program that thinks the way a photographer does, it has unique lighting, color, vibrance etc., controls that seem to automatically keep the luminosity the same as you adjust the other settings. Most software seems to change luminosity as you increase saturation.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Jun 15, 2013<p/>Actually, I compared SageLight's projected normal price of about $80 instead of its $40 price to the PS price of about $600, thus SageLight is actually about 6% the price of PS.

Overall it is a great image editing software.
Cons
This is easy. No registration code was ever given to me after I purchased the program, I could get no response from company, and it now is just taking up space on my hard drive.

I love Sagelight. Great photo editing tool for small money.

PEOPLE BEWARE!!!! Paid for the program even before my trial version was up because I liked the program so much. I never received my registration code so I could install the version I paid for. I sent MANY emails to Rob (the owner) with NO RESPONSE. I contacted Paypal to have them contact him and the did not get a response from him either. I have seen the forums and there are MANY unsatisfied customers that also bought Sagelight. Paypal did eventually refund my money. Also, once you install the trial version you cannot UNINSTALL the program without Sagelight's help. When you go to uninstall the program it says you don't have permission to do so. I have contacted Sagelight to uninstall it from my computer with, you guessed it, NO RESPONSE!
Summary
PLEASE DO NOT BUY SAGELIGHT. YOU WILL REGRET IT. I bought Lightroom 4 for more money (downloaded version at $90.00) and LOVE THIS PROGRAM. SO MUCH BETTER THAN Sagelight!
