RXB Workstation for Windows

RXB Workstation places a multi-bank pad grid, a 32-step sequencer, and an integrated mixer at the centre of a live-focused production workflow. Brand RPB's multimedia workstation for Windows ties sample layering, per-step sequencing, and transport-driven stage control into a single interface. Key capabilities include non-destructive sample editing, scene-based pattern arrangement, and direct lighting output. It suits musicians, live electronic performers, and sound designers who prefer tactile, immediate control during rehearsal and stage sets.

What is the app used for?

The app targets hands-on music creation and performance by removing traditional track-preparation steps: pads are playable immediately without arming or manual routing. That design prioritizes rapid idea capture and onstage improvisation, supporting both studio sketching and live sets. The developer positions it as a pad-centred environment for sample-based composition, so users who need immediate, playable instruments during a set get an uninterrupted workflow from first launch.

What sequencing and sampling controls does it provide?

Sequencing and sampling combine precise micro controls with layered sound design:

• 32-step grid sequencer with per-step velocity, pan, probability, and ratchet parameters.
• Pads support multiple sample layers for stacked textures and melodic playback via Keygroup mode.
• Non-destructive sample chopping lets you edit transient points without altering originals.

Those elements let a performer shape groove, timing, and texture at step resolution while keeping source files intact.

How does the app handle arrangement, mixing and stage integration?

The workstation includes a professional-style mixer with a real bus structure, featuring five mix buses and eight backing-track lanes, and sixteen scenes for pattern management and song arrangement. Transport control also drives Art-Net lighting, which ties audio transport to stage visuals. That pairing moves arrangement and show control into one interface, so lighting cues and pattern changes can align with the same timeline and tempo source.

Is the tool better for performers or studio producers?

The app is clearly tailored to live performers who value immediacy, but studio producers can use it for sample-based composition as well. Because system behaviour depends on the host audio stack and hardware, optimal latency and voice count require matching the setup to the task. Although it replaces conventional DAW arming and routing, users who prefer deep, track-based routing may need to adapt their workflow to the app's pad-first approach.

A focused instrument for stage-centred creators who accept a different workflow

The workstation is a concentrated option for performers and sound designers seeking quick, hands-on iteration during practice or live sets, rewarding moment-to-moment creativity. Adopting it means trading a traditional track-based session flow for direct playability and integrated show control, so it makes most sense when immediacy and live synchronization outweigh conventional DAW routing habits. Ideal for sample-based performance and set-driven composition.
