RS Tool for Windows

Simple and straightforward, this free Firefox add-on detects and highlights rapidshare files. Though we would have liked to have seen more customization options, it did its job well.

RS Tool introduces a toolbar to your Firefox browser. For what few buttons it brings to the table, it took up a lot of room, and it would have been nice to integrate it with another toolbar to save space. On the toolbar, you'll find a drop-down menu with links for help, to contact the publisher, and to upgrade. No other customization options are offered to make up for the dead space. Beyond that, you'll find a button for highlighting any RS links found on a given Web site, a button that displays the individual links, and a button that takes you to the publisher's site. When we visited a site that contained rapidshare files, the number of file links appeared on the toolbar. We clicked the button, and a window appeared displaying all of the file links. You can easily select all found files and copy them to the clipboard.

Despite the lack of toolbar customization options, this add-on does the trick if you're looking for an easy way to find rapidshare files. We recommend it for all user levels.
