Decent, hoaky, useless for Linux, tablet, phone users

Halfway easy data entry, ease of moving data between databases
Cons
Hard/ expensive to use on Linux On phones and tablets, you can view but can't create or edit databases. Software needs external Windows software for basic functionality, such as Internet Explorer, Flash, GDI support, and XML parser support. Reportedly sometimes won't run in Windows 10 - likely needs something like Internet Explorer that Windows 10 doesn't have. Complex date information no longer prints out as entered. Ancestor reports no longer include multiple wives and their children. You can't get to notes without opening individual. You can't data enter all of the data at once. Getting private data handled as private requires multiple counterintuitive hoops that are easily missed. There are strange bugs, such as needing a period at the beginning of a fact to apply it to more than one family member. Noone is allowed to say anything critical of Rootsmagic on its own forums, as for instance commenting that Rootsmagic is hoaky when trying to help people deal with it.
Summary
Often useful program, but many people can't use it, using it, and dealing with Rootsmagic support, can be really aggravating!
