ROOM for thought for iOS

ROOM for Thought lets you take one photo at a random time every day to add to your photo journal documenting your year in pictures. If you want a unique way to keep track of what you've done and where you've been as the year goes by, this app is a good way to do it. Just open the app every day when you get an alert, and then point your phone at something you want a photo of to keep the project going.

Each time you open ROOM for Thought, you'll see a brief animation, and then your camera will open. On the camera screen, three boxes will individually appear, counting down the three seconds until the app takes a picture of whatever you happen to be pointing at. After the picture is taken, you can add a filter and a comment to complete the memory, and then share your photo to Facebook or Twitter if you choose. The photo is automatically shared in the app with other users, although you can opt to make any or all of your images private if you prefer. To view your photos, go to My Album, and if you'd like to see photos that other users have taken, there's a Public tab as well. You can only take one photo through the app a day, and the app will send you a reminder at a random time each day so you don't forget.

When you've completed a year's worth of photos, you can order a physical photo album containing all of your images through the app, as well. ROOM for Thought is free to use, and there are no obtrusive ads to speak of. It's a fun way to document your daily life, and it's fun to browse through images other people have added, as well.
