INTRODUCTION

Energy is indispensable in our daily routines, in developing countries like India, power theft is one of the most prevalent issues which not only cause economic losses but also irregular supply of electricity.

ABOUT RMS APP & PROTAL

This RMS mobile app that adheres the raid related regular and standard procedures, is used to capture real-time information related to Power Theft from the Enforcement / Raid Team through their RMS mobile app from the raid premises in entire Uttar Pradesh State.

An Integrated Raid Management Web Portal also be able to monitor the Post Raids activities such as Type of Offence, FIRs, Collection of Compounding amount, Revenues Assessments and its realization along with load wise theft analysis.

KEY BENEFITS AND OUTCOME OF THE PROJECT

Through this efficient and effective real time system, the department will be able to analyze power theft, resulting in a decrease in the power theft activities as well as the increase in revenue collection and hence will also provide the connections to the citizens under the Power for All Scheme.

In future the honest consumers, poor people, and those without connections, who bear the burden of high tariffs would be benefited.

More than One lakh cases of electricity theft have been registered through this RMS App during all-encompassing raids in Uttar Pradesh in last financial year 2018-19.
