RM to AVI VCD SVCD DVD MPEG Converter for Windows

Used RM to AVI VCD SVCD DVD MPEG Converter for Windows?

Editors’ Review

Download.com staffAugust 26, 2015

The range of incompatible media formats online can frustrate even the most advanced computer users. Helping to ease the pain, this tool turns videos encoded in RealNetworks' format into one of several other formats that can be played by DVD players or most other software programs, such as AVI, VCD, or MPEG. It offers a few more features than most such converters, including the ability to burn the transformed videos directly to disc. A few features kept us from recommending this program wholeheartedly, however. We didn't like the requirement that RealPlayer be installed before the conversion, and the interface felt unnecessarily cluttered. With those caveats, we think this could be a useful tool for converting and archiving online video.

THIS PIECE OF CRAP ONLY CONVERTS UP TO 10 SECONDS, NOT GOOD ENOUGH, NOT EVEN BOTHERING PAYING FOR THE PROGRAM, IT SHOULD REALLY HAVE A 30 DAY TRIAL.

Pros
I couldn't find anything to like about this product.
Cons
I tried the "freebie" version, and was satisfied, so purchased the $29.95 option. NOT ONE file I tried to convert would work, and instead kept getting an "error" message...when followed to the company's "help" section, was confronted with the news that it WOULD work if I spent MORE money on added options...something that was NOT explained upon making initial purchase! Tried to contact their customer service...available ONLY VIA EMAIL, and should "get response within 24 - 48 hours"! I NEVER heard back from them at all! Luckily, have a secured and protected VISA credit card, and the bank has filed claims against the company to return the funds immediately. BEWARE AND AVOID THIS COMPANY!
