This utility lets you record what's happening on your screen. River Past Screen Recorder turned out to be quite convenient to use and didn't slow down our PC. The program can capture the entire screen, a predefined area, or a window, including sound. When recording, you can make the cursor invisible. The program lets you choose the codec and the video quality. To trigger the recorder while running full-screen apps, you can assign hot keys. The interface with expanding panels is straightforward but could be more compact. Also, the entire Edit menu section is disabled. Support is hard to reach.
Summary
While support is hard to reach, and you can only install the program once, I have to admit I like it very much. I was despairing over the need to repurchase my many protected itunes music files so I could use them in other apps. I went searching and found TuneConvert. It easily did the job. I hope they will add more support reps to keep customer satisfaction high.
Can't use trial! What's the point?

Nice looking interface and configurations.

Tested in 5 / 23 / 50 / 100 fps (using FX5500 here), but all video outputs recorded at 6 seconds per frame (default compression) and I can't even see my cursor move. 2nd, tried using other compression (XVID), and the program crashes. 1 out of 10, manual printscreen framing is much more easier than using this disappointing program.

EVERYTHING! <p>When you install it it's fine but then when you try to load it fails, and the error report brings up nothing. Totally terribley, not working and useless! DON'T DOWNLOAD!

The app WILL run without buying it first. It is very easy to set-up and it will make your screen capturing a breeze. I needed it to develop small avi's for training and out of all the options I evaluated in this website, this was the best. You can't beat the price either, which I happily paid after testing it to my entire satisfaction.
It the cheapest so far and good software.

I like it. I got the Screen Recorder Pro 5.04 ($59) and it have a window media 9 and you could use that to record. So far you could record 2 hour video to fit in a CD. Here the setting for 2 hour: Video: window media 9 4 fps set the quality to 100% Audio: DSP Group Truespeach 8.5 bit rate If you want a better frame rate set it to 5fps but it only record for 1 hour. The only down side is when you record you can't double click but you could right click and select open.

I got it to work. However, it didn't record the image the way I wanted it to, or in the location I wanted it to. It took a full size screen shot of my desk top and made an avi file out of it while I was trying to record what I was doing. VERY weird app.
