Rise and Shine

Rise and Shine is a simple freeware application for creating an alarm, although it cannot be considered a powerhouse program in its category. The program, which requires no installation, has a dull yet easily comprehensible interface. With Rise and Shine, just specify an alarm time, choose an MP3 or WAV file, and hit the Enable Alarm button, and you're all set. You can even set a snooze time interval, use a 12-hour or 24-hour clock display, or adjust the alarm volume. When the alarm activates, the program will quickly play the audio file you've set.

This freeware, although functional and easy to use, doesn't support pop-up reminders or use other alarm triggers. So if you're looking for a basic, clear-cut, and free alarm clock, this program will suit your needs.
