Remote Sound Box is a free app that can play all sorts of sound effects--from dog barks to laser guns to over 30 different varieties of flatulence. With four swappable sets of six customizable buttons each, its interface gives you quick access to almost any sort of sound effect, whether it's a round of applause or a rimshot to punctuate your latest witty quip. What currently sets Remote Sound Box apart from the many other iPhone noisemakers is its ability to let you record or upload your own effects, play sounds on a time delay, and activate any sound remotely, from another iPhone or from a Web browser (the killer app, of course, for the flatus audio library). Remote Sound Box comes with over 125 sounds built in, and the app has an easy-to-use (if unattractive) Web interface for uploading and remote playing. The app interface itself is slick and intuitive, especially the recorder's cassette-player skin.
