  Trying for a week I could not download any files. It was a trial version that I installed.No reply from ReGet support for assistance. Did a Google search for spyware and the search confirmed that reget is Spyware.I have Spyware disabling programs on my Windows XP operating system. No wonder that I could not download any files.

  Avoid like the plague if, like me, you use a lower end pentium for surfing the web (keeping your 'good' system well away from the nasty web) Reget hogs system resources (which it doesn't properly restore on closing) causing numerous blue-screens-of-death, freezes, "system resources dangerously low" warnings, problems with Norton's firewall, etc etc. Poor functionality in some areas e.g no obvious method to pause all downloads at once, requires each to be individually paused (great fun if you want to pause 200 files - especially with the ridiculous press-3-keys-at-once required to pause a file!) Also has sloppy sorting algorithms which can tie up the *entire* CPU for up to a minute, if downloading many (400+ in my case) files at once when using a lower end Pentium. A shame, because it could have been an excellent program if the author had spent more time on functionality and reliablity, and less time on silly gimmicks like pretty icons, oscilloscope-like graphs, kaleidoscope-colored status bars, etc. Read the reviews of other download managers, and give this one a "no" get.

  ReGet was always my favourite download manager, though, I loved old versions (before ReGet divided into Junior and Professional versions) more. If only they'd remove this annoying autoupdate message...

  As soon as you hit the dang options button the pc blacks out and crashes. Plus it gives you all kinds of error messages when you start it."PASS THIS ONE UP YALL"
