Regal Cinemas for iPhone helps you find movie showtimes and purchase tickets for Regal Cinemas, Edwards Theatres, and United Artists Theatres. Download the app, enable location sharing, and you'll receive info for theatres near you.

Pros

Easy to navigate: The Regal Cinemas app launches on the Movies tab, showing you all the hot movies that are playing right now, along with showtimes for the theatres nearest you. Switch to the Coming Soon tab to see upcoming flicks or My Tickets to check out your existing passes.

Quick purchase process: To purchase tickets, simply tap Buy Tickets, then your preferred date, the number of tickets, and whether they're for adults, children, or seniors, and finally your payment method. If you save your payment info for later, it's even faster next time.

Find theatres near you: Tap the location button on the bottom rail to see nearby theatre locations, search theatres in other areas, search movies and showtimes by theatre, and get directions to the theatre of your choice.

More than showtimes and ticketing info: On the Regal Cinemas app, you can also watch movie trailers and read movie plotlines, cast info, running times, and ratings.

Regal Crown Club: Join the Regal Cinemas rewards program, Regal Crown Club in the app, and you'll be able to store a virtual copy of the card for quick use, earn credits on purchases that can be used when making future purchases, check your balance, and get concession stand discounts.

App-only promotions: Tap the Specials button on the bottom rail and open up a Promotions page. There you'll find coupons for concessions, as well as opportunities, to earn bonus credits on purchases (with a Regal Crown Club account).

AR feature: Pick up a copy of Moviebill Magazine at a Regal Cinemas theatre and use the app's Regal Camera to access exclusive AR content.

Cons

Regal Cinemas, Edwards Theatres, and United Artists Theatres only: With the Fandango app, for example, you can purchase tickets for Regal Cinemas, Edwards Theatres, and United Artists Theatres, as well as competing theatres, such as AMC, Cinemark, and Carmike. But with the Regal Cinemas app, you're, not surprisingly, limited to just Regal Cinemas, Edwards Theatres, and United Artists Theatres.

Online convenience fee: You must pay a small convenience fee if you order your movie ticket in advance.

Bottom Line

If you're a regular Regal Cinemas, Edwards Theatres, or United Artists Theatres customer and maintain a Regal Crown Club account, then this app is a necessity as it keeps all of your info in one place and helps you avoid the often lengthy ticket lines by enabling advance purchases.
