Transactions can be processed either by swiping a card through the card reader or by keying in the transaction manually. The Rectangle app will store your transaction history, so past transactions can be viewed again and receipts can be resent. Once your account is active, processing is as simple as inserting your Rectangle Card Reader into the headphone jack of your device, loading the Rectangle Payment app, and then swiping the customers card to begin a transaction. Your customers can sign with their finger, and the app will generate a receipt which you can email back to the client.
