The main problem with this program is its name, which implies an emphasis on recipe collection. Instead, Recipe Keeper Plus is a hodgepodge of options that include viewing recipes, playing games, and creating an annual budget. The recipe interface is functional but unappealing, with buttons to add, search, and modify entries and pull-down menus for recipes. It includes a basic Food Guide with suggested menus, and simple tools like a Menu Planner and Shopping List Manager. Import and export options are limited to one file type. You'll also find a journal, database of quotes, budget management tools, and other features that can be fun but are unrelated to cooking. While nothing is really wrong with Recipe Keeper Plus, nothing is really great about it either. There's a 15-day trial limitation. Anyone can use it, but recipe purists will want a more flexible application without the unnecessary add-ons.

Pros
Ease of Use Data access Conversion tool Search features
Cons
No major problems noted
Summary
Too much 'Plus', not enough 'Recipe Keeper'

Pros
The Food Measurement Guide was the first interesting tool here. Gave conversion rates, ex. '5' slices of bread to cups='.67' cups.
I did enjoy playing the Hangman and Tic Tac Toe games.
Cons
When creating a recipe:
- Tab control has no control-cursor hops around and makes for more keystrokes
- Drop down menus does not auto fill to save keystrokes
Menu Bar Analysis:
Background selector is unnecessary and images are lame.
Birth year Information? I have no idea why this is here.
Finance Information? Again, what does it have to do with keeping recipes?
This program needs to be renamed, seriously!
I would not buy this as a recipe keeper.
Summary

Summary
This is a pretty good product for $15. I've added a ton of recipes to it. Wish there was a way to change/add categories. It comes with quite a few categories, but some I don't use and others I would like to rename. I would recommend it based on the price and features.
