Pros
100% free, no BS. Fast and stable. Complicated, but good results. A lot of freedom in creating your own instruments by combining two of eight simple waves. Standard set of effects plus modulation and two mixing decks. Suitable for a lot of electronic genres. Can be used for live sessions.
Cons
Very complicated interface. Weird note input system (keyboard only - not good if you don`t have a MIDI keyboard). No polyphony apart from mixing decks. No direct export to WAV (only real-time recording). Online help only. Can`t find any skins. Many easier-to-use, cheap commercial products out there.

Pros
It's loaded with premade loops that are easy to mod to your likings, and programming your own music is very simple and requires little to learn. You can record your music and save it in .wav format, and you can even add two sound files to your mix (for me, drums and bass). How cool is that? This is going to come in handy for my next single!
Cons
When you choose to load a file, it should take you directly to the premade ones, so that you don't have to go digging around in program files. Also, the loops you add don't always loop correctly, but if you try again, most of the time they do. That's all.
