  It will give you an idea of what key it's in but you're going to have fine tune... to really find the match... but it is useful if you're willing to put in some effort.

  It seems to me that someone tries to accomplish mission impossible and looking for Easy-Believers to cash on it. Working program of this nature would make them millionaires but given value for mission impossible $40 is a pure greed. It's exactly as the priests do. Cash on God's existence nobody yet saw. They know the priests making money so will they.

  Pros

  It does come up with the bass notes of the chords, though even its developers admit it isn't terribly accurate.

  Cons

  The only chords this application knows are major chords. No minor, dim, aug, sus, 7th, 6th... Nope, as far as Chord Pickout knows, all chords are major.

  Summary

  If this worked, it would be worth much more than the list price, but since it doesn't, it ain't worth a plug nickel. I don't actually know what a plug nickel is, but if I had one, I wouldn't trade it for Chord Pickout.

  Had issues with LUXAN (parent company) and their service couldn't get them to respond and send me the key needed to unlock. I've got the key, now let's see.

  Pros

  Live playback of song. Clear listing of chords. Simple to use, clean interface. Chord finger chart for beginners.

  Cons

  Not even a little bit accurate. Won't detect minor, 7, maj7, 9, sus, dim, aug (and etc.) chords. Transpose feature changes chords sporadically. 21-day limited trial (only 60 seconds of song transcribed). Expensive for a program that hardly works.

  Summary

  This program is tone deaf. Wouldn't give a single correct chord even for songs crystal clear in its tonality. If you're using this program to figure out that "one" chord, forget it. Don't waste your time. This program needs severe refining in its tone detection before it has the audacity to charge $40 for it.

  Summary

  Upon download you will notice that there is a Trojan attached to the file. After you have installed it, then you find that the program will only transpose the fist 35 seconds of the song. Thinking you would be able to transpose the entire song if you bought it...you go ahead and buy it to find out that the REGISTRATION KEY DOES NOT WORK. And then you will have to go through your credit card company to cancel what is ordered on your card. Also, you can lose some sleeping knowing that some scammer out there has your credit card information.

  Pros

  Trial run seems to work well. grabbed chords from mp3s and allowed automatic transposing.

  Cons

  Malware got by the initial file scan but was blocked when it tried to launch. Beware.

  A nice idea.

  Cons

  Comes up with far too many chords which don't match what are in the original song. Seems to have a penchant for Gm chord. Produces chords for passages with only drums and rhythm. Costs 30 dollars.

  Hi, FYI, Avast Antivirus (an extremely up-to-date and reliable virus scanner) detected this download as malware. <p>Id love to get this program but without a virus.

  Unable to register with the supplied key.Cannot contact suppliers no response after payment made,even after several E-Mails to them.They also appear to have taken payment twice from my account! <p>Altogether a complete rip off!
