• A revolution in file browsing

  Pros

  This is a radically different way of browsing and managing your files. You fly over the top of all of them and zoom in like a hawk attacking its prey.

  Cons

  Does not display thumbnail-waveforms of audio files because the developers say that is the responsibility of the application which writes the files.

  Summary

  This is as close to realizing Jef Raskin's dream as we might see in the forseeable future. It's worth getting *just* for the reminder that Mac OS/Windows Explorer did not have to turn out the way they did.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Raskin takes a new approach for organising documents and folders. By using my existing hierarchy, it shows all the files on one single flat surface. Like Expose but not only for the open windows but for all my documents and application. Great for my graphics design, less great for my music-collection. If you like more visual approach in how you interact with your computer, give it a try.

  Pros

  Finding and organising Files in Raskin is really easy and makes a lot of fun. Great overview to see my harddisks contents.

  Cons

  Doesn't show videos directly on the surface. Lacks some navigation-tools like back and forward.

  Summary

  Kick Ass application that shakes the GUI foundations!
