  I never even tried it. The reason is because as soon as It finished my windows closed, when i went back to web, I say my default was no longer google but bing. I hate it. I tried to uninstall by date because it installed a bunch or other things, now I cant get it back tothe way it was. So upset!!!

It was never installed but all that other crap was and its so hard to remove. The site is no help bc it is in french and directs you to find "quick media converter" to uninstall. the problem is...you wont find it. TERRIBLE SCAM&gt; ALL MALWARE. I have pops ups all over advertising

  Pros

  Reliable and fairly fast. Has everything I have needed it for and has done a great job for me. I have used this to strip off sound from a video and re sync the sound recording after cleaning it up. Can't exactly do that with the video still attached. Have also used it on old videos where the sound was off from the video. Once re synced, the video was near perfect.

  Cons

  It's free. I can't see a con when it has done everything I have asked it to do.

  Summary

  I do a tremendous amount of editing and media work for the internet. I love this program and have it on over 8 computers now. It has saved me so many times it's not even funny.

  Sometimes produces an acceptable conversion. Has a nice looking interface.

  1.Install will fail. Error messages will direct you to author's website/forum to download missing files. 2.Not compatible with Window 7. "Windows Program Compatibility Assist" may offer to try and re-install program with different settings. 3.Default conversion parameters are nonsensical;sometimes cannot be changed. 4."Expert Mode" does not really work; Custom profiles cannot be created or saved. 5.This is the SLOWEST converter tested.

  Summary

  Version 4.5.0.2 of Quick Media Converter HD is not ready for release. Maybe the next version will be better.

• It Installs Fine, Works Fine, Speed Is Mixed

  It installed on a Win 7 64 bit just fine without issue, videos converted just fine, installs with many pre-defined profiles, create your own profiles or override parameters in the pre-defined profiles.

  Cons

  I indicated to use 8 "cores" but conversions are slow, no documentation on pre-defined profiles parameters, the default folders in the settings don't work...you need to choose an output directory and profile directory for each conversion.

  Summary

  The only thing that prevents me from giving this software top scores is it's speed. One thing I've found interesting in reading the other reviews is the huge discrepancies of people's experience with it. All I know is that NIS 2011 does not classify it as malware, it did not remove any Win 7 codecs I already had, I did not receive a message that the version I had was illegal, and while it did stop partway through one of my conversions, when I tried to play the source it stopped playing at the same point because there was a problem with the source...it was not a problem with the application. Once you drag/drop or import a file to be converted, you can choose from a variety of conversion "types" on the main screen and some of them have choices in connection with them. You can either work in what would be considered a one-touch or easy mode or you can work in "Expert" mode where you can choose a profile and then alter them to your needs. My installation downloaded all of the profiles available so there was no need to download additional, but it also installs CamStudio where you can create your own videos and upload them if you want to develop something that would actually demonstrate how to do something. In my opinion the Help should be better than what it is but not so much in how to use the software than explaining what some of the parameters to the pre-defined profiles. One important aspect to the software is that I found it to be intuitive to use, but what it is you are choosing would be the most value. Overall I really like Quick Media Converter, I just wish it was faster.

  Terriby slow Tells you that you have an illegal copy or you need to install fresh version even though you just have Wants to always access the web GUI blows.

  New version takes out included codecs with Win7, tells you if you install them you could face legal action!

  Summary

  I had the previous version, it kept freezing up on win7, so I downloaded the new version. This version won't even install unless I agree to potential legal action...what a crock!

• Very Nice Converter

  Pros

  It does the job and it's FREE! I use it and the freemake video maker (freemake.com). Both are totally FREE work together very nicely. Freemake is awesome for converting the Kodak files (.mov) to Movie Maker's (.wmv) format.

  Cons

  Quick Media Converter HD 4.5 would be even nicer with the features found in the freemake software. Other than this I have found no Cons yet.

  Summary

  Great software for FREE.
