Create audio compositions with instrumental music score and repetitive motifs.

Quartet X2 is a digital 12-channel audio composer, MIDI synthesizer, score editor, recording studio, and player. There are 8 standard channels for composing the instrumental music score, plus 4 percussion channels for composing background rhythms, or repetitive motifs. Instruments include 120+ standard instruments and 30+ percussion instruments. Compositions can be saved as editable score files, standard MID, 16 bit CD quality WAV files, and MP3 files. An intuitive graphic interface makes creating and editing a score simple and effective. The interface resembles a sheet music score. You compose music by drawing notes on the staff with your mouse.

hard to work with

it's nice to warm up with before i sing because i just use that piano thing, and it's nice to train my ear to learn solvej

it wasn't what i was looking for. i wanted something to make musical instrumentals out of songs so i could have something to sing to without the voices.

this is a great tool for the average person to create music. doesnt require extensive musical knowledge, just a good ear. doesnt seem to want me to add tripplets though. its definitely great for getting down those riffs that pop into your head!

This was the first electronic music composer I have ever used and combined with my musical knowledge, I was able to compose "Colour My World" by Chicago in under 2 hours. I thought it was alot of fun.

I wish it only can have more channels cause each channel doesn't have polyphony unly one note at a timeso the overall music will be limited to 8 polyphony and 4 for percussion. a nice software though.
