it doesn't really help much and it resets most of ur settings you already have because the stupid thing does read the config file before you edit it. Its usless and it doesn't have to many extra optinos that are any useful in getting it faster. Only download if you feel like screwing around with ur quake 3 settings for fun because thats all its useful for.

A tweaking program is supposed to increase performance in your games, right? I gave this prog a shot and it did exactly the opposite. Using the Quake 3 Quaver demo as a benchmark, I can run my Voodoo3 at 1024x768, all options turned up at about 45-46 fps for this demo. I used this program to make up a config file, and first of all noticed that it screwed up my gamma settings (waaayyy too dark). After fixing that, I ran the quaver demo and the result - 40.5 fps, a 5-6 fps drop from my old setup. Good idea, but no thank you.

I really like Q3....I think you should mix up quake with unreal..like same levels or UNreal Vs. Quake all out deathmatch....where unreal members and quake members can fight eachother....with a selection of guns from both games...but level design and engine ..should be quake's...unreal's engine sux....thanx...Kris..schroeder
