Project Calculator is a very easy to use tool that helps you tracking the time you work on your projects. It is meant for small projects which don't need a fully featured project management system. You can manage several projects at the same time. You can start a timer when you begin working on a project, pause timers and stop them when finished. All timer data can be edited any time. The software also features filters, reminders using Growl, tagging of timers, flat fee entries and export to different formats (such as PDF, CSV or text). Upgrades from version 2 are available for $9.99.
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I have used Project Calculator for about 20 Projects so far. Since I am not using the app on a daily or even weekly bases, my biggest problem is that when using it after a longer time I am initially unsure weather I am in pause mode or the time track mode. I have found it, in general, too easy to confuse these two distinct modes.
This small but important interface detail has caused Project Calculator to be more frustrating for me than useful in the long run.
It might be nice there were some animated detail that indicates the clock is running, or the words "running", rather than the grayed out pause symbol, to indicate that the timer is active. I know that that would make the design less attractive, but it would make it more practical.

With this release, Project Calculator has matured. For projects with a fixed hour rate, and the need to run simultanious timers (very nice e.g. when more than one person is working on the project at the same time) this app is perfect! With the new feature to add and stop project entries from the main window and the added preference settings, this app has replaced my other favorite project timers.
