Great if you want to write your own EDI Maps

Pros
Least Expensive GOOD / Fully Functional EDI Mapping Utility Out there. I was able to create 5 of our own Invoice / 850 PO / 856 ASN Maps with 2 of our Trading Partners, using just their Support and Manuals. Their Support Team is all US based, and really friendly / efficient. Its nice to be able to call up anytime and not be nickle and dimed for every 'minute' unlike some other companies. You can map to whatever type of flat file / CSV your back end software works with, so its pretty flexible.
Cons
They close at 6 EST, so if you work on the West Side, get your questions in before 3....
Summary
Great EDI Solution if you're looking for an affordable, Basic EDI Mapping Utility that works for retail especially well.
A Great EDI Solution for Small to Mid-sized Business

Pros
Inexpensive Software, that essentially does the same thing as the $10,000 packages out there. At the end of the Day, EDI is just Translating text files, so it shouldn't cost a fortune. This Product lets you write your own maps- Unlimited, and supports ALL versions of X12 - with NO Add-ons or 'Kits' to buy or worry about. The Thing I liked most was the 'Old-Fashioned' Customer Service. Its nice being able to call and speak to a human immediately. Their Sales person contacted me quickly, but wasnt overly pushy. Their Support Team speaks English and Spanish, and respond to Emails quickly. The Software is a little dated, but works well for what we needed it for. Our Backend Software was a Home Grown system, that other companies didnt have 'plug in modules' for- so itw as nice being able to Create our Customized Maps as needed...
Cons
The Screens are a little old looking, but it doesnt affect the performance of the software. No XML Support, which we didnt need anyways.
Summary
A Great Solution if you're a small biz looking to exchange EDI with the 'big guys.' They've been around since 1992 so they have experience, but don't talk down to you if you're new to EDI. We took the optional training class, and that included two free maps, which was a great deal. Their Team is smaller but we prefer to work with companies in the US. Their VAN Services are cheaper than the others we were quoted as well. Overall I would recommend ProEDI to anybody with a new Trading Partner, or if you pay too much for mappings with your current software.
