This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Practica Musica is a TRAINING program that deals with music theory as well as practical exercises in identifying and working with such things as intervals, harmony and such. It is not a composition program. It is for those who are serious about learning music--how to read (and play) and write music. Ear training is also a feature so that you can learn how to identify the notes that you "hear" in a song or musical piece so that you can, in turn, identify them readily for on the spot playing or for actually transposing to a music sheet. For the money, it is the best educational music program out there and, believe me, I had to try a few before I got this one. Never regretted the purchase as I knew what it was all about and am serious about learning about music.
