Although this image-editing program's cluttered design may turn some folks off, the software offers a nice feature set for no cash. UniDream PowerBatch's elegant yet cluttered main window contains so many buttons and features it may overwhelm less-experienced people. Editing tools include those for tweaking sharpness, color balance, hue, saturation, and brightness. You'll also find implements for rotating and cropping shots, as well as a couple of simple effects. The concept of adding watermarks to batches of photos instead of individually is great, especially because the application gives you a fine degree of control over how they appear. The program also can convert and rename batches of images, supporting formats such as JPEG, GIF, BMP, and PNG. The ability to build collages and to frame shots will appeal to creative-minded shutterbugs. Folks willing to put in the time to learn their way around will find this freebie makes a pretty nice download.

Yennam-marDecember 6, 2011
Pros
Has a very wide range of features
Cons
YOU CANNOT SAVE THE WATERMARKED IMAGES. it's a waste of time!!!
Summary
if it's free, it should made known clearly. there are countless free softwares which give users exactly what they want. why make it free if u can't save your images?

Does NOT Watermark

Pros
For batch resizing, renaming or converting, I guess it works great. Wouldn't know, didn't try those aspects. Just wanted a batch watermarker.
Cons
Does NOT watermark.
Summary
The Help file in the program itself will tell you that this program does NOT watermark. The tools are there in the app *to* watermark, but it will not save/process/commit those watermarks. Either the developers have altered their software, or the CNET Staff that reviewed this app did not actually try to save their watermarked images. Because you can't. The Staff review is misleading and had me waste the good part of an hour downloading, figuring out the software, setting up some test images, crafting a watermark and then looking for the button or menu option that will allow you to process the images. I was convinced it must be there somewhere, as the CNET Staff said it was. I had opened the help menu once, but it redirected me to a site that wanted me to sign up before I could access it, and I actually tried to do so, but they wanted me to pay money for the privilege. After more mucking around with the software, I finally read the reviews of other users complaining about the same thing, then notice the line in the Help file that states specifically and emphatically that this software DOES NOT WATERMARK.
DOES NOT WATERMARK

Pros
None I could find.
Cons
Free version Does NOT watermark at all
Summary
Do not download this dog if you want to watermark. As soon as you open the help it makes it clear the product does not watermark, and the language in the agreement suggests it does. Cnets description is out of date.

Pros
It was free.
Cons
It's worth what I paid for it. Spent hours trying to figure it out, and finally gave up.
Summary

davidstemporaryAugust 4, 2007
Pros
No positives - just a waste of valuable time.
Cons
Program crash during my first (and last) try. I have a very stable system and this normally never happens.<p>Also watermarks can be created by NOT SAVED.
Summary
Free version is useless

Pros
Lots of features
Cons
Free version does not allow you to save.
Summary
free, easy, exactly what i needed to reduce my pics with NO VISUAL CHANGE
wildwind1999November 7, 2006
Pros
although i had to mess with the controls to get the hang of it at first it really is quite simple. You still have your old pics when you are done (to delete your self)so there really is no loss. Remember to make a new folder to save your new ones in so you can compare them when they are done. This program saves so much time and money!
Cons
Summary
Waste of Time
bazzzzleSeptember 7, 2006
Pros
Cons
I spent ages trying to work out how to watermark my images. At first I thought the option was there somewhere within the many menu's and options on this overly complex application. Then I realised the watermark option has been excluded. Don't waste your time on this like I did.
Summary
Not worth the time
PaMLBDecember 25, 2005
Pros
None that I could find.
Cons
Was able to open the program only one time. After that I could not open it any more. CPU usage went to 100% and when I finally opened the Windows task manager to try to find out what was happening I found that PowerBatch was not responding. I tried several times, even after restarting my PC with the same result every time.
