Posadis is an open-source Domain Name Server for Windows and Unix platforms. It can be used to host your domains on the Internet (it supports the BIND-compatible master file format), but it can also forward queries to a nameserver of your choice, making it useful for local networks. Posadis supports recent technologies like IPv6 and incremental zone transfers, and it has a concise User Manual which helps you configuring Posadis.

What kind of DNS is the best you might ask? THE FREE ONE. Not only is this free, but it is better then the ones that i had paid for.
