Editors’ Review
Stripped of all the bells and whistles, this pared-down freeware browser is perfect to take with you.
Portable Web Browser is just that--a portable browser that you can save to an external device to take with you on the go. The user interface consists of only three buttons: back, refresh, and stop. There are two menu bar options, one for settings and another one for help. The settings button didnt open anything when clicked, and the help feature wasn't really a help feature at all. It gave publisher information, and that's it. You also cant bookmark any of your favorite Web pages. Still, we entered a Web address, clicked Go (hitting Enter doesn't work with this browser), and off we went. The three navigational buttons did their job and we were able to browse without any issues.
Because the browser doesn't store the URLs you visit, your browsing history is kept secret. You'll get only the basics with this freeware browser, but it's easy to use, it's small, and you can easily take it from computer to computer.
