Pop Art Studio is a versatile program that allows users to perform all the typical image-editing functions and a few cool extras, as well.

The program's interface is a bit overwhelming at first, with a whole lot of little buttons across the top, but, on the whole, it is well-organized and intuitive. Users who are familiar with the basics of photo-editing software should find most of what they're looking for pretty easily. There are the typical options for cropping, resizing, retouching, working with layers, and so-on. What makes this program different is the variety of pop-art effects it contains. Yes, they're cliched and kind of cheesy, but they're still fun. And Pop Art Studio contains a whole lot of them. There are multiple Warhol effects that are based on the different color palettes of his more famous works, as well as mosaics, oil painting, pointillism, and many more. All of these are easy to use (that's what most of the little buttons control at the top of the interface), and we had fun playing around with them. The program's Help file is relatively well-written and comprehensive, although we were disappointed that it didn't contain any instructions for using the program's animation features.

Pop Art Studio doesn't have a time limit on its trial, but it does put a watermark on images created using the trial version. The program installs desktop icons without asking, but uninstalls cleanly. We recommend this program to all users.

Once awesome, still good but needs to get with the plan

Pros
I've been using this software for at least five years and I've learned a lot about image editing from it. It's been great, but as you progress towards the great Photoshop in the sky you realise you are not keeping up with the plan. Best things about it? The magic eraser, the effects browser, the 3d tool and possibly the text art tool (if used with restraint).
Cons
I'm basing the cons on the fact that, even taking into account my abilities are far more advanced than when I started using this, it really needs to get with the times. Some of the filters are best left alonge (the Lichtenstein one always looks awful) especially the really corny old style ones. Like the dollars floating in the sky filter. Seriosly, Fotoview ? This sort of thing is really dated.
Summary
You can go to any number of online editors and find better and more varied effects. They all tend to have the same editing tools and abilities, so what sets them apart is undoubtedly their filters. I've never understood why Instagram was such a hit, with it's uniform appearance, tired and trusted. Oops sorry, I meant tried. Having said that I like to work on my desktop and there are SOOO many really good free ones such as XN sketch, Fotosketcher, XN Retro, GMX-photopainter, Irfanview (download the filter pack) and plenty of others. It't hard to see how they can justify still charging that amount for it. Still, it's been there for me and I'm used to it. BUT !! what I'll NEVER get used to, and which annoys me each and every single time I use it. It defaults to save into its own truly terrible file format, the .PAS file. I'v never known one of these files to work if more than a day or so has passed since saving accidentally to their format. Well, it's not accidentally done, I'm forced by default settings to do so but I've trained myself now to check as I don't to lose work that's taken hours. I usually re-save it in the actual format that I want. You know, the one that works. It's for that reason that I'm looking around for something that doesn't force me do half a dozen clicks when I just to change/save the format to a normal .jpeg or .png file.
No support help whatsoever for broken registration key

Great program when registration key works.
Cons
Do not buy this until they will stand behind it. There is no customer service after three emails for assistance. No way to treat a customer who has paid good money for this. Why can't you assist me?? What is wrong with you. Unethical creatures.
Summary
Program is no good without valid registration key. My key worked for two months and I was able to develop some great images. I would even re-buy the product if I knew the key would remain valid. BUT WITH NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT, I REFUSE TO MAKE THEM ANY RICHER. BAD PEOPLE, GOOD PRODUCT WHEN IT WORKS.

apply many famous artist styles to image and see the results; you can adjust various degrees of contrast, sizes, colors, whatever...
Cons
since you can't save anything you create nor enlarge to a full screen view (you have to pay $65 for a code), i use the faststone image capture tool and i'm satisfied with the result...
