The Big Lie - Not free to try

Pros
Unfortunately unable to determine if there are any pros to this application.
Cons
This application is NOT free to try. You can download and install the application but as soon as you try to record anything, it tells you that you cannot record without purchasing a license. So where is the free to try? Unless you consider playing with the user interface as trying the application. Totally misleading. Do you really want to deal with a company that does the old bait and switch?

Pros
With PlayLater, I'm able to legally recorded programs and movies from Netflix, HBOGo, Hulu and other online providers. Once recorded, I can play them whenever I want. It records is a variety of formats, I use MP4. I watch the recorded programs when I'm on long flight or camping. It works. PlayLater has a good tech support. I had difficulty with downloading from HBOGo and they help me via email very quickly.
Cons
1. It's a bit slow. It records in real time. 2. Sometimes you have re-logon to HBOGo to be able to download. (This is more of a problem with HBOGo, not PlayLater 3. Limited number of channels on PlayLater
Summary
If you want to be able to legally download and save content for later viewing, PlayLater works great.
Very cool product. Game changer for my phone and iPad.

Pros
I have an iPad and don't want to pay a fee for 3G on it, the only gotcha was I liked the idea of being able to watch movies/shows when I was out and about. This solves the problem. I record a movie or two and a few show and I always have entertainment in my pocket. Just watched an episode of Louie while I was waiting for new tires to be put on my car. Awesome.
Cons
Not sure...interface is a little 1.0 version, but it's not bad.
Summary
Get it, it's a game changer.
PlayLater is huge for traveling with kids!

Pros
- you can record almost anything - you don't have to pay iTunes for kids shows - it is very easy to use - you can transfer the recorded files to your ipad (or any other mobile phone/tablet) to take with you on the go - you can watch hulu and netflix when not connected to the internet or when overseas!!!!
Cons
- you can't schedule series recordings, you can only record what is available (not future episodes).
