Platformer Toolkit lets you get hands-on with game character design. If you're curious about game development, especially the platformer genre, it's a great way to experiment. You can adjust a character's core attributes and see the results immediately.

Platformer Toolkit 0/1

  • Pros

    • Offers a surprisingly deep dive into character customization | More than 30 variables to play with | Directly see the impact of your tweaks in a sample level | Clear voice guidance from the developer | It's free, so what do you have to lose?

  • Cons

    • Some elements are locked initially | A help button is missing in key areas; a head-scratcher | More sample levels would be welcome | It is not a full game, just a focused design tool
