Image files that we thought were gone forever popped up without any effort on our part. besides saving honeymoon photos, Klix saved years of self-inflicted grief.
We un-reservedly recommend Klix to all camera ans computer users.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
This is a wonderful product that does exactly what it claimsâ??it recovers pictures and movies from flash memory. I started using the original Picture Rescue and it was great. Kilx has carried on that great tradition.
When upgrading between the two programs, I needed a bit of customer support locating an old serial number in a plist. They were very responsive through both phone and email, and solved my problem within about a half hour, from the first call to the successful install.
I highly recommend this product to anyone who needs to recover pictures or movies from flash drives or disks.
Serious photographers should have this!

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Despite a normally fail-safe process, I discovered an empty photoshoot folder on my computer last weekend, and the memory card had already been re-formatted. This was my first opportunity to use it, and I was really pleased to recover all my photos! No serious photographer should be without this. One card's worth of photos can easily be worth the cost of the software!

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I cannot praise this software enough. I just suffered what I suppose is the usual disaster, having deleted an SD card full of holiday snaps before backing them up to my computer (I was in a rush and thought I'd copied everything into iPhoto).
A quick search in Google and I found the Klix programme and downloaded the free-to-try version. I just pointed it at the SD card and it started to read the data blocks. This programme recovered most of my pictures, around 160, and in only two cases, it did not get the whole file back. A quick purchase of the software key and I had new copies of the photos on my hard disk.
I found this programme very easy to use, and believe me, that is important when you are beginning to panic like I was. It displays each file as it is recovered and, unless you have been in this position, you have no idea how reassuring it is to see your pictures come back, one after the other, to your computer screen. I recommend this product - it does exactly what it says on the Joesoft website.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I recently took a series of photos (~200) with my Nikon D200 of a major forest fire threatening the small mountain village here in Turkey where I live. When I got home and attempted to download the Compact Flash card using Adobe Lightroom, then in turn iPhoto, Graphic Converter, and iView Media Pro my computer could not read the photos. All attempts using other software and trying to direct download from the camera failed; the CF card was hopelessly corrupted. I found KLIX on the net and tried the free trial version. First I had to reformat the card in my Nikon as nothing would show up. Then I sat in absolute wonder as all of my beautiful photos appeared by magic in KLIX. I simultaneously went online and bought the license, then recovered all the photos in pristine condition. The setup and use of KLIX is simplicity incarnate. The purchase price is inconsequential considering the priceless photos that you can recover. I highly recommend this software.
