Used PhotoWall Live Wallpaper for Android?
Editors’ Review
PhotoWall creates custom live wallpapers for your Android OS using your gallery photos, Facebook photos, Picasa photos, or any combination of the three.
After installing, go to your Home screen settings, choose Wallpaper, then Live wallpapers. From there, choose PhotoWall and hit Settings to customize. If you're using the free version, there's unfortunately only one layout option--Polaroid--which displays your photos in a Polaroid-themed collage. Upgrade and you'll get access to Wall, Puzzle, and Fade layouts. You can also choose a photo effect to apply to your pics. Black & White and Sepia come standard, though again, you must upgrade to unlock more options.
We really liked that PhotoWall gave us so many options to customize our wallpaper. We could use photos from our gallery, Facebook, or Picasa, and we could set the animation interval to anywhere between 1 second and 20 seconds. These customizations, among others, helped keep our Android background from getting stale too fast. In the future, we'd love to see several more layouts available, as well the ability to pick and choose specific photos to populate our backgrounds.
If you're looking for a way to use photos as your Android wallpaper, PhotoWall is it. Though we can't promise it has enough options to keep you entertained forever, it does offer enough customization to keep you staring at a fresh background at least until the next version is released.
