View, resize, and set your pictures as wallpaper.

PhotoRedukto can reduce digital photography size. Explorer extension. View BMP, JPEG, PNG, TIFF, ICO, and CUR files. Compress, extract, and resize selected pictures. Set picture as wallpaper. Rotate current picture. PhotoRedukto also has other functions: Copy full path. Open command line in specified folder. Rename and replace with keep case functionality. Open file in text editor.

Quick and easy to use, but no guide (not really important since very intuitive)

Pros
Once installed (french or english), you just open the directory where are your pictures, then rigth click on any picture to see a prewiew with a sub-menu to rotate or change the size. You have the choice to rename the file with a prefix or suffix or keep the same name with an automatic backup in a subdirectory.
Cons
Lack of documentation. There is a more recent version (1.4) but I get an annoying error message every time I change a picture, but still work fine (was on Windows 98).
Summary
Shame it's not in English, if you can work that out your okay!

Pros
Does what it says on the tin, converts and reduces the file size of images; no real problems so far.
Cons
At first I was looking for an exe link on the programs menu, desktop, anywhere and I couldn't find one. Finally the penny dropped and I realised that you had to right click the images you wanted to convert. This isn't bad, but when clicking "reduce", which is in English, you are presented with a screen which is entirely presented in some other language (Spanish I think). The program is very simple and you can generally work out what it means though. It would be better if it told you it was a "right-click" menu program though! Obviously better language support is a must.
