Photo Grid Collage Maker seems at first like another collage making app, but with a few clever design choices it stands out from the pack in a number of ways. Because it automates much of the process, offers quick and very responsive formatting tools, and it is free, the app is a very useful tool for anyone that wants to make a collage but doesn't want to do the hard math required by so many other apps.

When starting the app, your first option is to choose photos, not the frame. You can go through your photo library or take new images and choose however many you want to add to your collage. The app then automatically populates the frame. The buttons below in the editing screen allow you to instantly change your collage, rotating images, changing the format, changing the border, or editing the filters. It's all in real time so you can see how the effect impacts your image immediately, instead of having to go back and forth to try new frames. It seems like a small change, but it has a huge impact.

Photo Grid Collage Maker is a very well-made app. While it is free and ad-supported, the ads are not intrusive beyond their banner slots, and the responsiveness of the editing buttons is never hindered.
