Preview PDF file in Windows Explorer and Microsoft Outlook as thumbnail and icon.
PDF Preview allows Windows 7 users to immediately take advantage of the PDF preview functionality to view PDF documents without needing to open them. This free PDF preview software installs PDF Preview add-in for Windows Explorer, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Outlook, and automatically configures itself to preview a PDF file in the Preview pane of Windows Explorer or in the Reading pane in Outlook 2007, 2010, 2012 and future versions. The first PDF page is shrinked as a thumbnail, and you can zoom in if you double-click on the thumbnail. The software also includes a PDF icon previewer to preview PDF documents in their respective thumbnail icons. Your system default icon for PDF file type will be replaced by the thumbnail icons. This freeware program is specifically designed for Windows 7, and works on both Windows 7 32-bit and Windows 64-bit systems. The software outperforms its peers both in speed and stability. Features include:
Peview PDF document. PDF document can be previewed in thumbnail when it is not opened via the Preview Handler interface in Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows Vista.
Thumbnail PDF Icon. The icon of your PDF document is generated on the fly according to the content of the first page in your PDF document.
Support PDF files of all versions. Just install the software, and it works with all versions of PDF files.
Fast display. The preview thumbnail can be displayed instantly after you mouse click on it.
High-quality rendering. PDF Preview for Windows 7 gives your PDF files a high-quality preview thumbnail.
Work with 86 different languages. PDF files with Asian, Hebrew, Arabic et al fonts can be opened and viewed without difficulty.
64-bit optimization. On Windows 7 64-bit operating system, PDF Preview works as twice as much faster than on 32-bit.
Running windows 7 x64. For some reason, Adobe Reader XI does not work well on my computer. Neither does this thumbnail/preview app or any other fix for pdf thumbs, except one. If I install NitroPDF for 64-bit Windows and set it as the default PDF program, PDF thumbnails and previews all work flawlessly. So my setup is NitroPDF installed as the default PDF Reader (provides thumbnails, previews, printing to PDF, and a basic reader to use in a web browser), Adobe Reader 9.5 with the TerraGo Toolbar installed for reading GeoPDF maps (I would remove this if I didn't have so many darn GeoPDF maps to read), and Sumatra PDF for reading PDF eBooks (Sumatra allows me to track reading progress and place custom bookmarks--it also reads many other eBook formats).

Pros
I have a ton of PDF's, and was so frustrated by having to open each one to see what was in it. Now I get a beautiful preview of each PDF in Windows Explorer.
Cons
I have not found any drawbacks or bugs.
Summary
I highly recommend this PDF previewer.
Worked like a charm!

Ten seconds to install. Opened Windows Explorer, all the "A"s (Adobe symbol) immediately changed to a preview of the file.
