While this simple program is designed to shut down your computer at a user-specified time, it wasn't up to the task in our tests. PC Shutdowner requires no installation; just run the executable file, and that's it. The program has a clear-cut, easy-to-use interface that is accessible via the system tray. Check boxes and pull-down menus let you easily set the shutdown time and/or the alarm clock. You can select your favorite MP3 or WAV file as the alarm sound. After the setup, however, this application's performance was just a downer. PC Shutdowner failed to shut down our PC at the appointed times, and it was not able to play the alarm either. All things considered, PC Shutdowner won't cost you any money, but it won't provide any benefit either.
