Pay Finders for iOS

Pay Finders helps you find nearby merchants that accept Apple Pay, Apple's mobile payment system.

Pros

Great discovery tool: Pay Finders showcases the businesses around you that accept Apple Pay, helping you find where you can use the mobile payment but also helping you discover new stores, restaurants, and coffee shops.

Two views: On the top left rail, tap the list view icon to view your nearby locations in a list. Tap the map icon to view them on a map.

Favorites: You can favorite businesses to keep them handy. Tap the eye symbol to open the Details section, then tap the Favorite button. Your favorites are accessible from the bottom right rail.

Active user community: Pay Finders' active user community keeps its location listings as complete as possible. If you uncover a business that is not currently in the app, press the bulb on the bottom right rail to add it. If you find that a business does not accept Apple Pay or that the merchant is out of business, tap the eye symbol attached to the listing to open the Details section, where you can report this info.

Apple Maps integration: If you're unsure how to find to a listed merchant, tap the map symbol that pops up with the listing to get directions via Apple Maps.

Cons

List view shows results alphabetized by city rather than by distance: When searching businesses, we'd rather see nearby results first. Pay Finders alphabetizes results, so even if we're searching for places in San Francisco, the app would show businesses in Brisbane first, because B comes before S.

Bottom Line

If you're looking for nearby businesses that take Apple Pay, Pay Finders can help. We just wish it listed nearby businesses first, rather than businesses miles away.
