Anyone who has to type paths to file locations knows how time-consuming it can be. PathSnagger for Mac adds a new section in your contextual menu that allows you to quickly copy the full path to a file to your clipboard. This free app saves you a lot of time that you would otherwise spend manually typing in the location of a specific file.
PathSnagger for Mac requires no installation. You can simply run the application file from the package you downloaded. You'll need to leave the application running in the background if you want to utilize its features, though. Sometimes Mac OS may not recognize the developer so you will have to give it special permissions to run. Once everything is working, all you have to do is control-click a file on your computer and look for the "Snag Path" option. If everything is working correctly, the option should appear at the bottom of the menu. When you click the option, it will appear that nothing has happened, but if you go into a text editor and paste, you'll notice that the full path of the file you "snagged" has been copied to your clipboard for you to use. Once you are done with the application, simply close it and relaunch the app whenever you need to "snag" another file.
Useful for coding or managing files, PathSnagger for Mac is a great little utility that can save you a lot of time.
