Pages brings the familiar functions and interface of the Mac's word processing program to your iOS device in a smooth-functioning app. You can do just about anything through this app that you can do on your computer, and the convenience of the mobile program will only help you increase your productivity.

Pros

Lots of templates: No matter what type of document you want to create, you'll likely find a template for it in this program. Options include everything from Term Paper to Business Resume, grouped into categories to facilitate finding what you want quickly. You can even use templates to create different types of envelopes and business cards.

iCloud integration: You can also link this app to your iCloud account, which makes it possible to search for and open documents that you've created someplace else and then saved to the cloud. That means you can start a document in one place and finish it elsewhere without worrying about messing up the formatting.

Cons

No straight saving: You can't save your work as you go in this program without closing the document you're working on and then opening it up again. Documents automatically save when you tap Done, but if you're working on something for a long time, and then the app or your device crashes, you're likely to lose a substantial portion of your work.

Bottom Line

Pages is great to have on your iOS device, especially if you work with the program a lot already on your Mac and want to have access to your documents on your iPhone or iPad. The templates are great, and the iCloud integration vastly increases the usefulness of the program by giving you immediate access to anything you save there on any device.
