Used Fing - Network Scanner for iOS?
Editors’ Review
Fing - Network Scanner scans and identifies all other devices connected to the Wi-Fi network you're using, and lets you make notes about them. Keep track of who's connected when, and troubleshoot problems, all from this convenient program.
Pros
Quick and concise: This app takes very little time to check for devices and bring up a list of those currently connected. Through this list, you can view details of these devices and add your own names or notes for them so you know at a glance what they are in the future.
Cons
No help: There is no Help feature in this app, so you have to find your way around on your own. Users without a lot of technical knowledge might find that this makes it hard to decipher some of the information the app provides and to access all of its features.
Unclear interface: Without a Help feature or any Tips to guide you as you begin to work with this app, the interface can be a little confusing. Since there aren't too many features, you'll find your way around eventually, but the controls aren't immediately intuitive, so you have to just go through and tap each of them to see what they do before you can really take advantage of all the program offers.
A few bugs: Occasionally during testing, we wound up on a screen with no option to go back to the previous one or the main menu. In order to continue using the app, we had to close it and reopen it, which was a little inconvenient.
Bottom Line
This app works well as a network scanner, and it proved accurate in our tests in its assessment of what type of devices are connected at any given point in time. Despite its lack of user help, it's definitely handy to have around when you want to know who's connected to your Wi-Fi network.
