Though its capabilities are limited, this adept application quickly fixes some of the errors that may occur when loading a site. PageFix only repairs DNS-related errors and only works for Internet Explorer users. Simply type the unloadable site's URL on the application's miniature interface and press the button. After a few seconds, it reopens your browser and loads the obstinate site.

In our testing, we attempted to open a site notorious for producing the "page cannot be displayed" error message. Though it took some time, the Web site successfully loaded without errors after initiating PageFix. Its faculties are a bit narrow, but this software produces results and is easy to use.

0. It is not freeware 1. It has no uninstall feature. 2. It will make a spectacular show of "fixing", then will ask you to register. If not, it will revert any changes.

As the subject says... it didn't fix my error. But as the product description said - they don't garauntee to fix all DNS errors so I can't hold it against them. Oh well, back to the drawing board.
Summary
Not holding it against this softwares author making a buck - BUT at $24.95 to fix a flaw in an another software manufacturers operating system, you'd think Microsoft should just fix the problem in IE themselves, for free.

I struggled two days with a "jammed" Internet Explorer. "Can not find server." Man! I tried everything in the book. Couple of things scribbled on the fly fleaf too. Even Staples' Tech Support gave up and referred me to Microsoft. <p> <p>Before submitting myself to Microsoft's tender mercies, I noticed PageFix while Googling for ideas. It seemed harmless enough (I hoped). Indeed. it was. Simple as pie. Literally, a 60 second fix. <p> <p>I WAS urged to submit a review by the authors when I expessed my satisfaction, but, I assure you, this is NOT a put up job. Quite sincere.

The website's pretty busy and confusing. It made it difficult to figure out how to pay for it. I told them and I hope they improve it.

Good news! I finally found a solution that permanently fixed the problem called: "Can ping websites but cannot browse." <p> <p>I spent 10 hours trying to troubleshoot this problem and was puzzled why I could ping but could not browse 128 websites that failed the "Browse Website Test." I was able to browse other websites without any trouble. <p> <p>Page Fix 2.0 was able to fix the problem and allow me to access every website that originally failed the "Browse Website Test." When I first tested the software before registration, the fix was only temporary because the software needs to be registered in order to save the fix permanently. <p> <p>Just like the software promised, Page Fix 2.0 saved the fix permanently after registration and the problem was automatically fixed for all of the other failed websites. All of the websites I was not able to browse shared the same Domain Name Servers (DNS). I plan to use my registered version of Page Fix 2.0 to fix any future DNS browsing issues. <p> <p>Page Fix 2.0 is a brilliant masterpiece (a true work of art). I have worked with a lot of software during the past 12 years. This software is truly amazing...worked the first time perfectly and is a very valuable and handy tool. <p> <p>You should have seen my face when the website I previously was unable to browse appeared once I used Page Fix (unregistered). I literally jumped out of my seat to jump for joy and say "Finally, I think I found exactly what I have been looking for." I was even more impressed when the software worked as promised and made the fix permanently to allow me to browse the previously failed websites like normal.

it works for a common oproblem for which Microsoft has no useful one step solution but a bunch of non working suggestions!

too expensive for only one feature, although the fact that cures the DNS error problem so well and fast, makes it worth its cost!
