The Ozark mountains of Missouri and Arkansas are known for their beauty, and this screensaver does a mostly excellent job of bringing that breathtaking scenery to your PC. As you're likely to infer from this program's name, its sole subject matter is waterfalls. Ozark Natural Waterfalls lets you select from among four waterfall scenes and allows you to cycle through them at the interval of your choice. In terms of design, we have no complaints, as the images are top-notch and the movement of the water is shockingly realistic. The feature set isn't enormous, but you can still turn off the lifelike audio effects and captions. However, we should note that the box for setting the program as your wallpaper is checked by default; you'll need to turn it off if you already have a preferred desktop theme. In the end, we can suggest this screensaver to anyone who loves the outdoors.

Pros
The images of the waterfalls are excellent and there are nice extras. Where this screensaver really excels is with the realism of the video. It makes the cheesy flash animation of other waterfall screensavers look obsolete by comparison.

Pros
The video quality is excellent, and we have it set on low video definition. It's like having a little movie of waterfalls splashing in your livingroom. And they're not kidding, there's no adware or spyware. You can pick which waterfalls you want to see and how often to rotate them.
Cons
One thing I would be careful of -- I tried setting the video option to high definition and got a pop-up window telling me to download an MPEG4 codec. When I started downloading, Windows said I had replaced Windows files with unknown files and told me to insert my Windows Service Pack 1 CD -- which I didn't have. I cancelled the download and did a system restore and everything was fine, but I'm not sure what the problem was.

Natural Screensavers allows you, the user, to control video or image rotation, image effects, sound, volume, and rotation timer. Also available are image collections updates for free.

Version 2.1 adds a modification to the systray-icon program, which improves the stability of the natscr.exe systray program.
