Developer’s Description

Count colonies automatically or manually from digital devices.
OpenCFU is a program dedicated to the counting of bacterial colonies from digital images or video devices. It is developed in C++ using OpenCV for image processing and Gtkmm for the GUI. Features include manual and automatic filters, automatic exclusion of contaminant bacteria and bubbles, use with a webcam, and aureus plate with writing on the side. The image is automatically analyzed when you select it. You should see that detected colonies are represented by yellow and blue circles on top of the image. You will be able to read the number of colonies for this image. If you did not use a mask, the analyzed surface should be irrelevant (it will be 0). If you had selected multiple image files, you would have one line per analyzed image.
