The OpenMap project aims in bringing Open Street Map onto the Windows 8 Metro-Style App Platform. The map tiles on this app are obtained from Open Street Maps server. In addition, the application also establishes searching and routing features. The search feature is powered by Nominatim Project while the routing feature is provided by the OSRM project. For any other information, please contact me at the email below. The OpenMap connects to the internet to download map data and other information required to render map and display routes and POIs. Search strings and To and From address are sent to Nominatim Project server to decode addresses to map coordinates. No other user data are shared to these servers. The application does not connect to any other web services other than Nominatim and OSRM, nor does it share any of user's information to any other provider.
