Office Tab brings beautiful, useful tabs to Word, PowerPoint, and Excel in a matter of seconds. The design is so perfect that you'll wonder if it actually came from Microsoft, itself. If you want all of your documents in one window, this is a phenomenal way to do it.

This program works with just about every version of Office, from 2003 all the way to Office 2013. It doesn't work with every Office program, but it supports PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Those are probably all the programs you'll need anyway. Unlike your browser, multiple Office tabs don't seem to put much extra weight on your processor. You can do just about anything you want with the tabs. You can change the color, lock the tab in place, or close all of the tabs around it with one click. As far as settings, you can change the ways tabs behave in one program without changing the others. Office Tab adds an extra bar to Windows, but it doesn't take up enough space to be a problem. The only downside to this program is that it costs $25 to unlock the full version.

Office Tab offers a fantastic way to increase your productivity and comfort in all of the most popular Office programs. Though it's a shame you have to pay that for something Office should already have built-in, it's more than worth it.

Editors' note: This is a review of the trial version of Office Tab 9.51.

pricy, not that useful

Pros
easy to install
Cons
turned for kingsoft office, with built-in document tabs, no need to install additional add-in. the most important thing is, don't have to pay for 25 dollars for an add-in!!
Summary
good and easy to use

Pros
Like the tabbed interface.
Cons
Just as a plugi, the price is a bit high. I recently learnt that Kingsoft Office, which has free alternative edition to MS Office, has integrated the tabbed interface into the office suite. No need to install a special plugin. So I use Kingsoft more often. They have a special offer for thanksgiving 2013:?http://www.ksosoft.com/promotion/thanksgiving.html

Pros
Haven't use it a lot since I just downloaded it, but I like it very much and doesn't seem to lag my computer or whatsoever, I discovered it through CNET's newspaper, thanks a lot
Cons
None by the time being
Summary
Cool app! worth downloading it
Great design, but has performance issues
hijennySeptember 24, 2012
Pros
The functional design of the tabs is great, very similar to the tabbing in Excel worksheets, which is just what I was looking for.
Cons
Causes Word to have noticeable performance lag. e.g. opening the Word application will displaying the words (Not Responding) in the window title bar for over 10 seconds. Similar lag experienced when documents are saved/auto-saved.
Summary
I really liked the functional design of this free plug-in, I appreciated that the developer designed it to be consistent with the usability of Excel tabs, with a few more customization options. But the performance lag that I was experienced was such a nuisance that I couldn't stand it anymore and ended up uninstalling it. I can easily just hover over the Windows icon on my taskbar to select between multiple documents opened. Having this plug-in was a nice-to-have, but because of the performance issues, I decided not to use it anymore.

Pros
Summary
Buena idea, pero muy mal producto, no vale la pena comprarlo.
