NVMS7000 lets you view live security footage from your IP cameras right on your Mac. It's a free utility, so if you're looking to keep an eye on your property, it's worth a look. But don't get your hopes up too high.

  • Pros

    • Free way to manage your IP camera network | Supports up to 16 channels for previewing | Can manage up to 100 devices | QR code backup and restore is pretty slick

  • Cons

    • Needs a powerful computer or you'll get blurry video | The UI isn't intuitive, so reviewing footage is a pain | Good luck syncing playback speed across multiple cameras | Wi-Fi connectivity is a bit spotty
